Christine Beard joins the Scheherazade team for the festival's opening gala concert to perform new music by the winner(s) of the call for scores competition. She will also perform "Metamorphosis" for solo flute by Rhonda Larson, and "Changing Light" by Kaija Saariaho for soprano and flute.
