Flute Recital: Past, Present & Future
Current UNO student Erica Wilkins, UNO alum Paige Michaud, and UNO Professor of Flute Christine Beard will present an evening of music for flute and piccolo by Valerie Coleman, Ph. Gaubert, Christopher Caliendo, Jacques Ibert, Karg-Elert, and Lawren Brianna Ware. With OSO pianist Christi Zuniga.

About the event
Erica Wilkins will perform her Florida Flute Association competition program, for which she is a finalist (and will compete in FL on 1/27). Her program includes:
Philippe Gaubert - Nocturne et Allegro Scherzando
Valerie Coleman - Fanmi Imen
Christopher Caliendo - "Washington Irving" from the 'Ghost' Sonata No. 8
Paige Michaud will play selections from her current graduate school audition repertoire:
Karg-Elert - Sinfonische Canzone
Valerie Coleman - Danza Mariposa for solo flute
Jacques Ibert - Concerto
Christine Beard will give the Nebraska premiere of Lawren Brianna Ware's Sonata "Emmanuel" for piccolo/piano before performing it at the Florida Flute Convention on 1/27.
Pianist Christi Zuniga will masterfully join all three flutists (and will also accompany Erica and Dr. Beard to perform in Florida on 1/27).
